    Founder & Executive Director

    David Kozlowski is from Carlsbad, CA, and is a former University of Utah wide receiver. David is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has worked in mental health for 26 years. David is the host of the OG Therapy Podcast which has had millions of downloads and helps parents all around the world. He has had a ESPN 700 radio show, a KSL podcast, regularly featured on KSL Studio 5, he also has a Ted Talk on parent-teen relationships, is the creator of the first Social Health Curriculum at Herriman High School, and author of the first social health book: Youth of the Nation. David serves as the Executive director of Quit Trip’n.

  • Julie Scherzinger

    Treasurer

    Scherzinger has 15+ years of experience in education as a school counselor, high school administrator, and Career & Technical Education consultant. She holds degrees in Family and Human Development and School Counseling and began her career in Jordan District. As Utah School Counselor Association President, she advocated for funding elementary school counselors statewide. Currently, Julie oversees curriculum for 29,000+ students in Jordan District's Career & Technical Education program. She’s presented at conferences on creating positive school cultures and believes strong relationships are key to meaningful learning. Married for 33 years, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family.

  • Kirsty Johnson

    Secretary

    Kirsty Johnson, originally from Utah and now living in Idaho, is a mother to a teenage son and passionate about helping teens build strong, supportive relationships with peers, family, and online. As a co-founder of Quit Trip'n, Kirsty played a key role in establishing the nonprofit, inspired by her belief in the transformative power of connection. Her involvement in weekly social support groups reinforced her conviction that connection is vital to helping youth overcome challenges. With over 12 years of experience in management and digital marketing, Kirsty exemplifies how social health tools can enhance the talents of those around her. Her philosophy centers on service and creating positive change, whether as a mother, professional, or through her work with Quit Trip'n.

    Director of Social Health Initiative (SHI)

    Kenneth Scott is a leader and educator specializing in social health, relationship building, and leadership development. As a supporter of the Social Health Initiative (SHI), Kenneth combines years of personal and professional experience to empower individuals and organizations to build stronger, more meaningful connections. Kenneth's career spans a range of impactful roles, from case management in domestic violence shelters to leading fatherhood programs for formerly incarcerated individuals.

    Currently, Kenneth serves as an adjunct professor at Rice University, teaching courses on social health, personal branding, and critical thinking in relationships.

    Kenneth’s expertise lies in bridging the gap between personal growth and professional success, making him a sought-after speaker, consultant, and educator in the fields of social health and leadership.

  • John Hyde

    ohn has been an executive in the software industry focused on the financial services industry for 30 + years. John began his career in sales at a startup financial planning software company and worked his way up to president of Sterling Wentworth. When Sterling Wentworth was acquired by SunGard. John was promoted to Group CEO of front office wealth management solutions. After 6 years at SunGard, John’s entrepreneurial passion drove him to start CapitalRock in 2007.  John has grown CapitalROCK and the RightBRIDGE platform to be the leader in best interest and compliance solutions in financial services.  John sits on many technology boards and is an industry leader within the space.

  • Robert Johnson

    Secretary of Social Health Initiative (SHI)

    Robert 'RoJo' Johnson, hailing from Los Angeles, California, defied odds as a first-generation college student and middle child of six siblings. Despite attending three high schools, his determination led him to earn an AA degree at a local community college. Subsequently, his football prowess secured him a scholarship at the University of Utah, where he contributed to an undefeated season and earned a place in the Utah Athletic Hall of Fame in 2023. Drafted by the Tennessee Titans, he showcased his talent for four seasons before transitioning to various jobs. Eventually, armed with degrees in Sociology and Criminology, he discovered his calling as a career coach at his alma mater, the University of Utah.
